i thought the same exact thing, i remember reading about that in high school

one of the officers said that they didnt have to since they didnt ask me any questions, yet my friend who was with me and got it too had his read to him twice

I doubt it since they have hard evidence and an eyewitness who seen you throw it out. Eyewitness testimony has proven to be the most inconsistent testimony given in court, yet it's the most believable.

Sucks. I got over my weed days long ago, but I don't understand the reason for cops to act like an ass or for other folks to act like you're doing crack. For all of the folks on here who haven't tried it or for anyone who doesn't know... IT'S MUCH SAFER THAN ALCHOL, IT'S MUCH SAFER THAN CIGARETTES, IT SHOULD BE LEGAL.

My dad died 2 years ago at 46 from diabetes complications. He smoked pot from the time he was 13 till the day he died. He was never in trouble with the law, never arrested, worked until diabetes made him blind and caused him to have a leg amputated. Same thing goes for my mom she'll be 50 in June, has beaten cancer, and has been a pot head since she was in her teens. They didn't and don't sale to kids, and are two on the most honest, decent, trustworthy people I've ever met. I love them both and you couldn't find two better people. When my dad became disabled and my mom was dying from cancer, my dad growing and selling pot to his pothead friends, was the only thing that put food on the table, helped him buy his medicine, and was the only thing he could give my mom to entice her to eat when she was down to around 80 lbs.

I hope things go well for you and you get at worst a slap on the wrist and hopefully nothing.

Agreed on the marijuana. It's much safer than the legal drugs that are available today. The worst part about marijuana is what happens if you get caught with it. I hope to see it legalized at some point in my lifetime, I honestly believe for terminally ill patients it's the best medicine they can have. The only people who judge people who smoke marijuana are people who have no clue about the facts of the drug.

If you will browse around, you might can get a young lawyer to get this dropped for pretty cheap...

Most young lawyers don't have anything to do, and will fight stuff for cheap, just to get in the court room...If they took you into custody with no rights read, they broke the law just as much as you...

If you to court with no lawyer at all, they are gonna take you for all your worth any way....

Just find a young one, I got one workin for me right this second...Trust me it's amazing what you can get done with one, that you never could without...There are all kinds of loop holes that get you a default verdict that only a lawyer understands...I was gonna fight a bogus lawsuit on my own, until I called the court house and they told me that I would recieve a default verdict against me if I answered the summons on my own, because I would misplace a period or something...

I remember when I was in HS and they were having a road block on High Knob and I literally just cracked open a beer and took 1 sip, no lie, one sip and they told me to get out of the vehicle because of the open container. Gave me a breathalizer and I blew like a .04 or something, whatever it was is was illegal. So they gave me a possession and consumption of alcohol under the age of 18. In the midst of all this, the officer told me to empty my pockets, just bought a fresh can of Copenhagen and he said what is in it. I told him, it hasn't even been open, it is just skoal. He said open it, so I did, and when I did he emptied it right in front of me and started laughing. That royaly pissed me off.
